Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the privately operated Hermes Personal Calendar integration accesses and processes information from Google Calendar.

1. Purpose and scope

Hermes Personal Calendar is a self-hosted personal assistant integration for its operator. It helps the operator check schedules and, where permission is granted, manage Google Calendar events. It is not offered as a public service.

2. Google data accessed

After the operator authorizes the integration using Google OAuth, the application may access calendar lists, event dates and times, titles, descriptions, participants, locations, and other event metadata permitted by the scopes granted. It may create, update, or delete events only if such permissions are granted and those actions are requested or configured by the operator.

3. How data is used

Google Calendar data is used to answer the operator's scheduling questions, prepare calendar summaries or reminders, and carry out requested calendar operations. The operator does not sell Google user data or use it to serve advertisements or build advertising profiles.

4. Storage and security

OAuth credentials are stored in the operator's privately managed self-hosted environment to maintain the connection and refresh access where permitted. Calendar information may also appear in the assistant's local conversation history or operational logs, depending on the installed configuration. This public website contains no calendar data, credentials, or account login capability.

5. AI services and messaging

To fulfill the operator's requests, relevant event information may be sent to the AI model provider configured in Hermes for language processing. Event information may also be delivered through the operator's configured messaging service, such as Telegram, when the operator requests replies or notifications. Those services process information under their respective terms and privacy policies. The operator does not intentionally use Google Calendar information to train general-purpose AI models.

6. Data sharing

Data is not made available to visitors of this website. It is shared only as necessary for Google Calendar connectivity, configured AI-assisted processing, or requested message delivery, or where legally required. This personal integration does not publicly expose the operator's calendars.

7. Retention and deletion

OAuth credentials remain available to the integration until revoked or deleted from the self-hosted environment. Calendar content retained in local assistant histories or logs can be removed by the operator according to the local system's retention configuration. External processing services may have their own retention periods.

8. Revoking access

The operator may revoke this app's Google Account access at any time in Google Account → Third-party connections. The operator can also delete saved credentials from the self-hosted Hermes installation. Revoking access prevents further authorized Google Calendar requests, subject to already retained local copies.

9. Contact and changes

Questions about this personal integration can be directed to the user support email displayed on its Google OAuth consent screen. The operator may update this policy when the integration's permissions or data-handling practices change.
